Josh "Sandman" Serfas

Josh has had a passion for airplanes since he was a little kid.  His dad would gift him little model airplanes and RC planes that they flew and he loved it.  After going to a couple airshows as he got older, he realized his dream was to become a pilot.  Josh joined the Marine Corps out of high school as a mechanic working on the Sikorsky CH-53E and the dream of being a pilot was disappearing because the cost was too much.  He then realized that a benefit from serving in the military was flight school being paid for. After leaving the military he started full time school while working full time as a mechanic on Airbus.  Once he earned his CFI, started instruction. A year and a half later, he went and flew some tailwheel inspecting pipeline and wells. After Josh found his dream job at Sky Combat Ace,  he packed his bags, headed to beautiful Las Vegas, and hasn’t looked back.  He loves spending his free time outdoors, camping, hunting, hanging out with his two labs Ace and Luna.
